I always feel lucky that I have tried different job functions since I joined Citi, including software developer, executive assistant and site communicator. In my more than 7 years career, I have been grateful to Citi for providing a wide platform, encouraging and supporting employees’ career development, providing various career opportunities. Thus, I could keep trying, continually challenge myself and find a better me. In the beginning of 2013, I joined Citi as an intern through CSTC campus recruitment program. After I graduated from College of Software, Sichuan University, in July 2013, I officially became a member of ICG Tech and started a new journey in my life. Two years after I became the software development engineer, I met a career confusion. After careful consideration and combining with my own strengths and characteristics, I decided to find a suitable development direction. Then I talked to my manager, she proactively communicated with me, understood my thoughts, shared her career story and found other career opportunities for me in Citi. From 2015 to 2019, I was in the role of executive assistant. In addition to daily affairs, I started to contact company operation, collect and understand work dynamics of each department, provide proper analysis to the management team for decision making. In the meantime, partnering closely with each function/department for project planning and implementation. All of this, broadened the horizon of knowledge and helped me accumulated rich connections. In September 2019, I transferred to CSC Network, responsible for the company brand building, creating cultural atmosphere, organizing and carrying out a variety of employee engagement activities. During my 7 years at Citi, I appreciate every leader for their full encouragement and affirmation. I have gained the courage to continue to learn and grow, exercised a wide range of abilities and expanded my career possibilities. |
