John C. Dugan and Jane Fraser on the Passing of Richard D. Parsons

The following statements were made in response to the passing of Richard D. Parsons, former Chairman of the Board of Citigroup Inc.:

John C. Dugan, Chair, Citigroup Inc.: “Dick Parsons became Chairman of Citigroup at a precarious time for the company. His deep experience in banking, government and countless boardrooms helped Citi navigate a path through the crisis and back to stability. My fellow board members and I are keeping his family and friends in our thoughts as we fondly remember this one-of-kind leader and friend."

Jane Fraser, CEO, Citi: "We are deeply saddened by the passing of our friend and former Chairman Dick Parsons. Dick applied his legendary leadership capabilities during an incredibly challenging time for our company, leaving Citi better than he found it. Many of us at Citi, as well as our clients, benefited from his wisdom and mentorship, all of which left an indelible impression and there are many who admired him from afar. We will miss him greatly and our heartfelt condolences go to out to his family, friends and colleagues.”
