Citi Mobile Challenge Asia Pacific Announces Record-Breaking Participation

Citi Mobile Challenge has been traveling the globe over the last 16 months to connect with the FinTech community, unearth innovation and reimagine the way the world banks. Now, Citi is excited to announce that Citi Mobile Challenge Asia Pacific has received record-breaking participation with 1900 registrations from 376 cities.

We are so excited to see this enthusiastic response from developers in Asia Pacific and around the world. Citi is deepening engagement with developers and connecting directly with emerging innovation hubs to identify new solutions that can improve businesses' daily operations, promote financial inclusion, and push the boundaries of what FinTech can be.

Citi Mobile Challenge is a next-generation accelerator that combines a virtual hackathon with an incubator, a worldwide network of FinTech experts and Citi's top global sponsors and clients across industries. The Asia Pacific Challenge follows programs in EMEA earlier this year and in Latin America and the U.S. in 2014. Since its launch, thousands of developers have signed up to join Citi Mobile Challenge and be part of the future of banking. Each competition is open to talented developers globally and Citi has hosted events in Buenos Aires, Bogotá, Silicon Valley, New York, Miami, Nairobi, Jerusalem, Warsaw and London.

This promises to be our biggest Challenge ever. Finalists will be invited to join Citi and FinTech thought leaders at Demo Day events in Bengaluru November 3rd, Singapore November 6th, Sydney November 10th and Hong Kong November 12th. We look forward to seeing their presentations, learning more about their solutions and imagining how their innovations might change the way we interact with money.
