Candace Hewitt

Candace contributes to investment deal diligence and sourcing across the fund’s impact verticals, as well as program management and reporting. She leverages prior experience as a senior responsible investing analyst with asset manager TIAA/Nuveen, where she assessed environmental, social, and governance (ESG) best practices and investment-relevant data to reduce risk and enhance investment returns; developed investment stewardship policies; and engaged in investor advocacy with hundreds of public company boards and managers to drive uptake of ESG best practices. Early in her career as communications strategist, Candace developed brand strategies for blue chip corporate clients. Hewitt completed her MPP in Global Sustainable Development at Duke University and her BA with honors at Smith College.
