Citi’s presence in Switzerland dates back to May 1963 with the opening of a corporate banking branch, Citibank N.A. in Geneva. The Zurich branch followed in 1966.

Citicorp becomes a full member of Zurich Stock Exchange.

Citicorp Investment Bank (Switzerland) changes name to Citibank (Switzerland) AG.

Smith barney Harris Upham & Co merge with Salomon Brothers.
1998
Following the Citicorp/Travellers merger, CGML Swiss entities became part of Citigroup.
