Citi Journalism Awards for Excellence
The Citi Journalism Awards on are hold for 2023.
The Awards were introduced to Australia in 1993 and are a well-respected and well-loved event in the media calendar. Originally designed to provide journalists in developing markets with the opportunity to gain academic and business insights into the US financial system, the awards evolved into a more sophisticated and global program in partnership with Columbia University School of Journalism.
Over three decades in Australia and New Zealand, the Awards have gained a reputation as a highly sought-after prize to aspire to. It has allowed Citi in our market to build meaningful and respected relationships with our media colleagues and opened the opportunity for over 30 journalists to travel to New York and participate in the much-coveted study tour hosted by Columbia.
One of the key attributes of the Awards has always been the integrity and independence of the judging panel. Over the years many leaders in Australian and New Zealand business, the public sector, academia, as well as the Columbia Graduate School of Journalism have given many hours of their time to read, score and judge the many submissions received. For all of those who participated, some returning year after year, we will always be extremely grateful.
