Mission Statement

Citi created the Office of Homeownership Preservation (OHP) to work with nonprofit partners and other third parties representing Citi borrowers at risk. Our goal is to increase outreach to homeowners in default or in danger of imminent default directly as well as indirectly through the housing Counselors representing them. OHP provides counselors with resources and works with them to find the best possible option for a borrower experiencing a hardship:

• Provides the most up-to-date home retention and non-home retention solutions to help Citi borrowers make the right choice for their families
• Builds the capacity of foreclosure prevention/intervention nonprofits with financial support and technical expertise
• Provides outreach, education and assistance to Citi borrowers at risk
• Continues to lead the industry by introducing solutions like Citi's Unemployment Assistance Program, and Deed In Lieu
• Facilitates the expansion and adoption of best business practices and programs
• Develops and maintains relationships with partners
